Floyd Shivambu has been called by names by people he was working with in EFF started that MK is a unique party.

Former EFF vice president Floyd Shivambu has responded to accusations of betrayal made by his former leader, Julius Malema, following his departure from the EFF to join the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party.

Malema hinted at the possibility of betrayal by anyone leaving the EFF, during a speech at the Gauteng EFF provincial ground forces forum at Orlando Community Hall in Soweto on Monday night. This followed Shivambu’s announcement last week that he would not be renewing his EFF membership.

“I will never betray the revolution. We’re not here to stroke egos; we’re here to build a revolutionary movement that will liberate the black majority,” Shivambu asserted.

These comments were made during an MKP media briefing in Johannesburg on Thursday, where the party also discussed the current political climate and ongoing developments in the country.

The MKP revealed its high command structure at the briefing, introducing eight leaders responsible for making key decisions within the party. Shivambu emphasized that he joined MKP because he believes in the party’s unique approach and is committed to serving the people of South Africa.

“We are not engaging in wishful thinking; we have concrete ideas and are assembling the best of the best,” Shivambu stated.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the MKP remains focused on working for the people and uniting the nation.
