During the search, two suspects, aged 27 and 37, were apprehended in a shack. Inside, officers discovered an arsenal of weapons: two revolvers, a baby browning, and two 9mm pistols, along with over 127 rounds of various caliber ammunition. Additionally, 115 mandrax tablets were found in the yard of a nearby shop, adding to the haul of illegal items.

Charges and Court Appearance

The younger suspect, 27, faces a slew of charges including attempted murder, pointing of a firearm, possession of a suspected stolen cellphone, possession of prohibited firearms, and illegal possession of ammunition. The 37-year-old suspect is charged with possession of prohibited firearms and illegal possession of ammunition. Both suspects are scheduled to appear in the Gqeberha Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
